Custom Error Pages
Find out what a Custom Error Page is, what role does it serve and ways to create one.
Each time a page on your site doesn't load, an error message shall be displayed to the site visitor. Since there are different errors, there are different pages that will appear, but what is common for all of them is that they're generic and probably will have nothing that is similar to the layout of your website, which can be irritating for any site visitor. This is the primary reason why website hosting companies have introduced a feature referred to as Custom Error Pages. For a number of different errors, visitors will see your customized content, which could be informative or witty, in accordance with your choice, and that will match the design of your website, so the pages shall not appear as if they are not part of your Internet site at all. You can use this option for a variety of errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).

Custom Error Pages in Shared Hosting
You can set up customized error pages for each of your domains or subdomains. The feature is supported by all
shared hosting plans which we provide, so once you log in to your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Hosted Domains section, you can easily click on the Edit button for a domain/subdomain and in the pop-up which will be displayed, you could select the sort of error page which should appear - a default one from our system, a conventional Apache web server page or a custom one. For the aforementioned alternative, you must specify the URL to the page, so if you use customized pages, you need to upload the files in your web hosting account first. One other way is to use an .htaccess file located in the domain or subdomain folder with a line for each and every error type. The actual syntax can be found in our Knowledge Base, to help you use this feature even if you don't have any previous experience.
